Bookcases shown on this page are handmade locally with a portion of recycled wood and crate materials. The tops are solid oak and pine is used for the front and side edges. In order to hide any imperfections in the high grade plywood used on the shelves and side panels, they are painted with high gloss quality paint. The back wall is made of solid 3/16" pine boards connected together and stained in neutral pine to match the edges and top. These bookcases are made extremely strong and sturdy, and are capable of supporting considerable book weight without sagging. While these bookcases are made to special order, you can see how they are constructed at our showroom by appointment. The cases can be ordered to your specifications and built within 10 days.
